Because many advance logistical arrangements have been made prior to the running of our tours, we must adhere to our cancellation policy (below). Travel Guard insurance, our carrier, will reimburse your tour fees and airfare if you cannot travel due to personal illness, or if an immediate family member becomes ill, preventing your planned travel. Travel Guard insurance can also cover any delays and interruptions due to weather or air schedule disruptions.

In addition, please be aware that many insurance policies do not cover illness and accident expenses outside of the U.S., and Medicare does NOT cover any such expenses at all. In light of this, we strongly recommend trip cancellation and supplemental insurance.

By clicking on the "Purchase Travel Insurance" link above, you will be taken to the TravelGuard site which will guide you through the purchase process.

Certification

* All courses listed below include all gear needed to dive (excluding mask, fins, snorkel) *For more information on PADI courses you may also visit PADI's website.

Scuba Diving Certification with Isla Marisol PADI dive resort.

DISCOVER SCUBA/ RESORT COURSE     $125     1/2 Day
We have a full range of dive courses taught right on the island. One-half day introduction to scuba; allows non-divers to dive for the rest of the week at the same rate as certified divers. Does not transfer to other resorts. If you upgrade within one year to a higher level, this course may count toward your certification.
*Group discount for Discover Scuba: Three or more persons taking the course at the same time drops the cost to $110.

Bubblemaker     $125    1/2 Day
One-half day introduction to scuba for kids ages 8-11. This age group is restricted to a 6-foot depth and must be accompanied at all times by a dive instructor.

PADI SCUBA DIVER     $320    2 1/2 Days
This is the lowest level of certification that PADI offers. It is a lifetime certification, but has some limitations. You can dive anywhere, but you must be accompanied by a Dive Master, and there is a recommended maximum depth limit of forty feet. Many people don't want to dive without a Dive Master present anyway, so it may not be a problem. If you want to rent tanks and dive on your own, you should go for the Open Water certification rather than PADI Scuba Diver. Students have the option to upgrade this certification to Full Open Water certification within one year of completion of the course. The course takes less time than the Full Open Water, and is a great option for those who want a certification, but intend to dive only at resorts where Dive Masters accompany all divers. Includes $25 for PADI Pic Card.
* Includes $25 for PADI Pic Card

PADI Scuba Diver Referral     $190     1 Day
One day; finish certification after classroom and confined water training have been completed back home in advance.
* Includes $25 for PADI Pic Card

This is the standard certification for entry-level divers, this course covers all fundamentals of scuba diving and is recognized worldwide. The course includes classroom work, confined water training (demonstrating a mastery of skills in shallow water), and four open water dives. As a certified Open Water Diver you have the freedom to dive without a Dive Master present.
* Includes $25 for PADI Pic Card

Open Water Referral     $265     2 days
Two days; finish certification after classroom and confined water training have been completed back home in advance.
* Includes $25 for PADI Pic Card Preparing to go diving for the first time
